My Chihiro-Loader patches the GPU PCI Prefetch limit (allowing the GPU to access the full 128MB RAM, if installed) it wouldn't do anything in Cxbx-R (as there's no restrictions on the "GPU"-equivalent renderer to begin with). You'll need the Chihiro firmware files as well as the game, Cxbx-R uses identical roms to MAME for this.

The Chihiro-Tools haven't been updated in quite some time and don't work well on Windows either, but I'll be submitting a PR to update the tools to address that soon too. Or if you have a pre-decrypted 'netboot' format binary, you can use the extract-fatx tool from Chihiro-Tools, and skip the decryption step. As Chihiro titles are encrypted, to extract them you can use JayFoxRox's Chihiro-Tools: You need both the GD-ROM image, and the PIC firmware to do so. Like always, Cxbx-R needs the extracted game files. Now we emulate the JVS boot 'firmware' (SEGABOOT), we now partially emulate the media board (enough for games to boot, but not enough for networking/GD-ROM loading/running firmware updates), the SEGA 837-1355 JVS I/O board, but we HLE the Baseboard.
